Is tie-dye dying?

  In the 1960s, tie-dye was widely used as political protest art. In the 1970s, on one hand, tie-dye was widely used as a type of pop fashion. Although tie-dye has been revived as a fashion trend each decade that has followed it, the decades mentioned above are the ones that are most often associated with its use (Dye Happy). The technique of tie-dying has gained favor among a large number of people. On the other side, minimalism is seeing a surge in popularity over the last several years, and there is little question that extreme minimalism will be a trend in 2022. Because many individuals don't want their homes to be "cluttered," one of the things that they work for in their abodes is creating an atmosphere of "openness" and "airiness."   Living "minimally" means getting by with as few material possessions as is physically feasible for a human being.
